Our plumbing technicians have vast experience replacing and repairing septic tanks in Ventura and the surrounding area. Septic tank replacement is available for both residential and commercial properties with septic tank problems.

Septic Tanks need to be pumped every 2-3 years in order to prevent overflow. Our technicians will provide the regular pumping and maintenance your septic tank needs, and point out any potential issues and tips on how to prevent future problems.

Preventative Maintenance

Our motto is to Fix it once, fix it right, and fix it forever. In addition to this, we arm you with preventative maintenance tactics to keep your system running smoothly. Some strategies for septic tanks are:

  • Don’t pour grease down your drains
  • Clean/Pump your septic tank every 2-3 years
  • Compost food waste instead of using the garbage disposal
  • Avoid planting trees or shrubs with dense roots near your septic absorption area.
  • Don’t allow your plumbing fixtures to leak. Immediate repair prevents larger issues.

Common Septic Issues

The most common septic issues stem from three problems:

  • Overflow

If your septic tank isn’t pumped every 2-3 years, the risk for overflow increases. If your sinks and toilets start draining slower or gurgling, your tank is likely reaching its limit.

  • Roots

Tree or plant roots can damage pipes and cause drainage issue. If there is standing water in your yard or the drains are backing up, it’s a sign there may be root intrusion.

  • Rainwater

Frequent overflowing may mean there’s a leak or design flaw that is allowing rainwater to enter.

“My bathtub was draining really slowly and sometimes when we were not even in the bathroom, dirty water would come out of the drain. I called Affordable Plumbing Pros and the guy who came out fixed the problem. I haven’t had any problems with my tub since then. The price was good and the plumber, Jorge, was really nice.”– Christi J. – Ventura, CA
